That was Never Four Hours Just Now? Oh come on! #MosenOnAir
45 years ago this Sunday, a comedic phenomenon exploded on to British television screens. It had such an impact that their reunion earlier this year was anticipated globally. But their first ever TV show was broadcast on 5 October 1969. We are, of course, talking about Monty Python, one of the funniest comedy groups ever.
To celebrate their 45th anniversary, Monty Python are our featured artists on this week's Mosen Explosion. We'll gladly take your Python requests via email and Twitter. We'll play your favourites of course, but we'll also dig a little deeper, and play things that aren't so common.
In addition to this, it's school holiday time and a full-throttle banana invasion is likely to take place. We'll hear all about the big production of The Wind in The Willows in which Richard and Nicola have been involved all week. Since this is the first time we've had Nicola on the wireless since our trip to Australia, we'll share some memories of the trip, the wild rides, and the inevitable travelling adventures.
Amidst all this excitement, we still have room for wacky news, a look back at this day in history, a Bonnie bulletin and lots of great music! Whew, it'll take you a week to recover from all the excitement we're going to pack into four hours I tell you!
Do join me at 7 PM in the UK, 7 AM in New Zealand, 2 PM Eastern. And after four hours, you too will be saying, "I wish those bells would shut up".
