It’s A Long Weekend

Hi everyone. It’s Friday morning as I write this, but not only that, It’s the start of a long weekend in Dublin Town. At 7 PM in Ireland and the UK or 2 PM Eastern, it will be my pleasure to Welcome You To The Weekend on www.the-bell.net. No matter where you are in the world, and no matter if it’s a 2 or a 3 day weekend, the plan will be the same. My mission should you choose to except it, will be to wipe away the stress of your busy week with the very best in feel good music, along with a big helping of friendly banter for you to enjoy. Like that Friday feeling, Our regular features are here for you too:

Kick-Start. This opening tune sets us on our way for the weekend ahead. This week I play a track from 1983, that has a very special message for a loyal listener to the show. All will be revealed later.

Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour, we hear two tracks by the one artist. This time out we hear from a lady who began her music life in Country Music and then made the transition into the pop world. Taylor Swift is our featured artist this weekend.

The Irish Connection. Exactly one hour later, I expose you to two tracks by two different artists. This weekend we hear a track from a Dublin band who shared the same stage as U2 in the 1980’s, and a gentleman from Dublin that I had the pleasure of seeing live on stage last weekend.

The One that Got Away. This feature is dedicated to a track that you don’t hear often on the radio. Novelty is the aim this weekend, and we hear a track from a gentleman who is known for his parody on various songs through the years, who celebrates his birthday this weekend.
