A wacky Christmas, all comedy and Novelty with Glen Gordon and me on the Mosen Explosion. #MosenOnAir
In 1992, a talented and popular broadcaster who just happened to be blind by the name of Glen Gordon stepped away from the microphone, ultimately pursuing a career that saw his appearances limited to the occasional Blind Line, early Main Menu, or FSCast. Poor thing.
But you know what they say about radio, don't you? It gets in the blood. And every so often, Glen Gordon would say to me, in this wistful little voice full of wist, "you know what, Jonathan," he would say wistfully, "One day, I'm going to host a show filled with obscure oldies, comedy and novelty on that Mushroom FM thing." But alas, life got in the way, as life often does, and that never came to be.
Now time has marched on, as it often does, and finally, because it's Christmas, Glen Gordon is breaking his 22-year radio silence in style, as he joins me on the Mosen Explosion for a wacky Christmas. Yes, we are wishing you the wakiest of Christmases this year with four hours of Christmas comedy and novelty material. Now of course, we know you want a hippopotamus for Christmas, I mean who in their right mind doesn't? And where would a novelty Christmas show be without a good, healthy hearty "hee haw" from Dominic the delectable/diabolical dilapidated donkey? But there'll be plenty of novelty material from Glen's incredible collection that you may not have heard before, or haven't heard for a very long time. As the stress mounts ahead of the big day, with last-minute presents to buy and food to organise, we'll ensure we leave you with a smile on your dial just ahead of the big day.
Glen and I are going to have a lot of fun on the air, aided by the music and your company, so this is a show you won't want to miss. We're wishing you a wacky Christmas at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK right here on the ringing, dinging Christmas Bell. Do join us, no figgy pudding required. Oh, but an iTunes gift certificate wouldn't go amiss. You don't even have to wrap that.
