This Week's Mosen Explosion on The Bell Totally Brailles it! #MosenOnAir
It's time for the first Mosen Explosion of 2015. And what better way to celebrate than to pay tribute to a man who has transformed the lives of many blind people around the world for generations. Without him, I know I wouldn't have been able to have the career I've had. I wouldn't be able to identify items around the home with ease, and I wouldn't be able to write something down and read it back fluently in front of an audience.
I am, of course, referring to Louis Braille, the man whose priceless gift to the blind of the world is beyond any other. He was born on 4 January 1809, and to celebrate his life and legacy, we'll be playing songs about all aspects of reading and writing on the show. Your requests are very welcome.
The bananas are still enjoying their long summer holiday, so one or two of them may even be up in time to put in an appearance. Bonnie will be here with a Bonnie Bulletin, and of course we look forward to hearing how you survived the new year, as well as anything you may like to tell us about how Braille has changed or enhanced your life.
I hope you can join me at 7 PM in the UK, 2 PM Eastern, 8 AM here in New Zealand. It's right here on The Bell, just like The Bell is on a Perkins Brailler.
