I Love The Weekend
Hi everyone. On the eve of Valentine’s Day, today at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM Eastern, I would love to Welcome You To The Weekend on www.the-bell.net. No matter whether you’re in or out of love this weekend, I will have something for you to enjoy. The usual mixture of feel good music blended with plenty of friendly banter will be on offer to set you on the right road for the weekend ahead, no matter what your plans are. All the usual features are on show to fill your ears.
Kick-Start. We begin with a pacey tune first released in 1979 and given a rockier edge in the 1980’s by a gentleman who sadly is no longer with us, but who has left us with him fine tunes to enjoy. It could sum up exactly how you are feeling this weekend.
Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour we will hear two tracks by the one artist. Of course, I will have plenty of musical facts about the artist. This time out we hear two tracks from Blondie that have a very interesting fact behind each of them.
The Irish Connection. Exactly one hour later we hear two tracks from two different Irish Artists. This weekend love is definitely the theme as we hear two quality tunes from two artist who are on the up in Ireland at present.
The One That Got Away. This special segment of the show is dedicated to a track not often heard on Radio. This weekend we hear from a rock band who released a track in 1997 that has a strong message appropriate for the weekend that’s in it. All will be revealed later!
It would be my absolute pleasure to play any tune that would help you feel good this weekend and it’s very easy to get in touch with the show. You can:
Email, briand@the-bell.net
Or Tweet: @daltobr and I’d be happy to play your request, say hi to you or maybe you’d like to share with me your plans for these two precious days of freedom that are ahead.
Why not join me, Brian D, live from Dublin Town in Ireland to Welcome the Weekend only on the Bell, the home of good radio.
