Welcome To A Four Day Weekend.
Hi everyone. Without doubt, this is my favourite weekend of the year. Why is that? You may ask!
The answer is that it’s a four day weekend. Four days of freedom and no work. I would love to offer you a welcome to this wonderful weekend on www.the-bell.net on Friday beginning at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2 PM Eastern. I will have a great pile of feel good tunes old and new for you to enjoy along with a large helping of friendly banter and chat to officially get your weekend started. All the usual features will be back in place for you to enjoy such as:
Kick-Start, This opening tunes sets the pace for the weekend ahead. This week by request we play a tune from a very successful album by a British band released in 1985, that will set your toes tapping.
Double-Take. At half past the first hour of the show, we play two tracks by the one artist as well as giving you some important facts about the artist covered. By request, the gentleman that is featured is Bruno Mars.
The Irish Connection. At half past the second hour we hear two tracks by two different Irish artists. By request we hear a live version of a tune from a band in Dublin that covered a track that was originally released in 1975, as well as hearing a track from a band that was formed in a University in Scotland in 1994, but does have a very definit Irish Coinnection.
The One That Got Away. In this part of the show we play a track that doesn’t get much radio exposure. This week we hear a track from a very successful album released in 1993 by a band from Canada containing a very deep vocalist.
