Welcome To The Weekend
Hi everyone. After a long week,. I look forward to offering you a warm welcome To a 3 day weekend on Friday at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM eastern on www.the-bell.net. Broadcasting live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland, I’d love it if you could join me, as we wipe away the stress of the busy working week that was, and look ahead to a long weekend. We will do this with plenty of feel good tunes, and a great deal of friendly banter which you are welcome to participate in. If you’re a fan of American Country music you will be in Heaven this weekend.
All the regular features will be on offer for you to enjoy such as:
Kick-Start. This opening tune of the show sets the pace for things to come this weekend. This week we open up with a feel good tune recorded by a gentleman from Texas, who began recording Country Music in 2011.
Double-Take. At half past the first hour of the show I play two tracks by the one artist, as well as giving some biographical facts about the artist we feature. This week, we hear two tracks recorded by Gretchen Wilson.
The Irish Connection. In this part of the show we hear two tracks by two different Irish artists. This week we hear a band from the South East of the country who have just released a new single, as well as an up-beat band from Dublin, who are receiving a great deal of airplay at present.
The One That Got Away. In this slot we hear something that doesn’t get much exposure on radio. Covered over by layers of time, it could be an album track or a forgotten single. It gives you a chance to hear something that you may never have heard before. This time we play a track released in 2008, from a lady born in the former Soviet Union and grew up in the UK.
Your requests and interaction are most welcome at any time. If you have a suggestion for any of our features or something you would like to hear on the show this weekend, I’d love to hear from you. You can:
