Welcome To The Weekend
Hi everyone. We are almost at the end of another busy working week, which means only one thing. On Friday at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2 PM Eastern, I look forward to bringing your week to a close, and welcoming you to the weekend on www.the-bell.net.
I will have a bucket full of feel good music and a heap of friendly banter, to wipe away the madness of the last 5 days, and leave you in a relaxed frame of mind for the two days of freedom that are ahead of you. All the usual features are on offer in this fun filled show for you to enjoy such as:
Kick-Start. This opening track of the show will put your weekend on the right track. This week we play a hit from 1985 from an artist from New Jersey, who talks about stopping off for a few beers.
Double-Take. At half past the first hour of the show, we play two tracks by the one artist and tell you about the artist we feature. This time we hear two tracks from Deacon Blue, who were a very successful band in the mid-1980s and early 1990s and still releasing material.
The Irish Connection. At half past the second hour of the show, I play two tracks from two different Irish artists. This weekend we hear the Irish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest of 2014, as well as a tune from a Dublin band who have just released a new album.
The One That Got Away. This slot in the show is dedicated to a track that doesn’t get much radio airplay. On this occasion I play a track by a band from Chicago that were formed in 1961 and are still together.
Getting in touch to request a tune to make you feel good this weekend, to suggest anything for our features or if you’d like to share your plans for the weekend is very easy and I’d love to hear from you. You can:

Why not start your weekend off on the right track, by joining Brian Dalton, live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland and together we can kiss the week good bye, and say hi to the weekend.
