The Weekend Bell Is About To Ring.

Hi everybody. At 7 PM in Ireland and the UK or 2 PM Eastern, the Bell will ring to Welcome You To The Weekend on www.the-bell.net. To lift you out of the busy working week, and into the relaxing fun filled weekend, I will have a host of up beat feel good music along with a stash of friendly banter. All our usual features will be on show for your enjoyment such as:

Kick-start, This opening tune of the show sets the tone for the weekend ahead. This week we hear a tune that was released 35 years ago from a lady that we haven’t heard much from since, but certainly made her mark with this one.

Double-Take. At half past the first hour of the show I play two track by the one artist, as well as giving you a short bio on the artist in question. This time out we hear from a band who were formed in 1996, and are made up of four guys who have been and still are extremely successful. Coldplay feature in this slot this weekend.

The Irish Connection. At the bottom of the second hour of the show we hear two tracks from two different Irish artists. North and south get a run out this weekend as we hear tunes from a successful band in the 90’s from the north of Ireland, and a tune from a lady who appeared in an ad for Fish Fingers when she was 14 and has just released her new album.

The One That Got Away. This feature has been described by a listener as his favourite part of the show. It’s the time we hear a track that doesn’t get much radio exposure and is covered by layers of absolute time. This time we hear an album track from 1975 from the wonderful Fleetwood Mack.
