Back To School In The Zone
Hello Listeners
I am back from my lovely holiday in wee Bonnie Scotland and looking forward to seeing you all in The Zone once again on Friday at 9 pm UK, 4 pm eastern only on, www.the-bell.net.
There are some Cha Cha Cha Changes starting this week. I extended the show to four hours and still, we run out of time so I have had to change things about a wee bit.
The club mixes can now be heard at the top of the second hour and instead of three tracks, there are only two for your enjoyment.
Cosgrove’s Cronies pub is still open for all of the third hour with nothing else in this pub only the big jukebox and your requests. Don’t be thinking you are getting off lightly as question 5 of the Music Madness quiz is still there. As this is the only time I could get a licence to keep the pub open, your participation is very much appreciated for this hour, trust me, it flies in. If you could send me all your requests well in advanced so I can make sure the jukebox has them all, that way, everyone will be happy. The Guess the Year competition can also be heard throughout the show but not in Cosgrove’s Cronies. Music Madness stays the same.
The famous Wheel of Fortune is there and this week, the theme is “School”. With most of the schools starting back this week after the Summer break, I would love to hear those songs about anything to do with “School” in the title or why not let me hear those songs that remind you of your school days. I might even let you hear old recordings from my Primary 5 days, definitely the best year for me at primary school and you will find out why on Friday. If the computer picks your unique number for the Wheel of Fortune, you get a point and whoever gets the most points at the end of the show gets to hear their requested song right at the end of the show at 1 am UK, 8 pm eastern.
Freddie Mercury would have been 68 this Friday and I realise we had Brian May’s birthday not so long ago but Freddie has also brought out some brilliant tracks on his own but still, it’s another excuse for us to hear Queen, you can never get enough Queen in The Zone! I would love to hear all your Freddie Mercury or Queen requests.
As you can see, The Zone is jam packed as always and for you to be a part of the show, email, anne@the-bell.net or Tweet, @irish_2009.
I look forward to seeing you all on Friday, please be in time for the Roll Call.
Anne
