As the Hollies famously sang, all I need is the air that I breathe...and to love you...and my computer...and my iPhone...and a nice house...oh and one of those nice cheesy rolls from the bakery. But really you know, when all is said and done and tweeted, your air supply is pretty important. And that's why we're saluting Air Supply, whose lead vocalist, Russell Hitchcock is celebrating his 65th birthday. They've done some great stuff, Air Supply, and if you'd like to request any Air Supply tracks, you would be most welcome.

It's almost time for another fabulous fun-filled four hours of frightfully fabulous fun-filled fun, as we take to the airwaves on The Bell for another Mosen Explosion!
This week, we were going to do a show with a winning theme, in celebration of California Chrome taking the most difficult prize in horse racing, the triple crown. There's only one problem...He didn't. To win the triple crown, you have to win three races, and he won two. I guess we could play Two out of Three Ain't Bad, right?

New Zealand was once a British colony you know. We were also a member of the British empire, helping to ensure that the sun never set on it. Now, we're an independent nation but still a member of the British Commonwealth. So it is that on Monday, which it will be when I do this week's jolly old Mosen Explosion, we'll be getting the day off in New Zealand for the long Queen's birthday weekend. And what a nice long queen she is too. I mean man! Man! She's been there a long long time, hence the long queen's birthday.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dogs and cats, planets and asteroids, Macs and PCs, meat and potatoes, crazies and soup haters, it’s time once again for the Mosen Explosion. It’s the show that has done for Internet radio what Alexander Graham Bell did for the fishing industry, what Billy Joel did for quantum physics, and what John Grisham did for public transportation congestion in Los Angeles.

Are you blind? Are you square? Then you will not want to miss this Sunday's Mosen Explosion, heard right here on the bell. It's the show where it’s hip to be square!

A long time ago, in a rock era far, far away, a great musical adventure took place. And we're celebrating it, at least in part, this week on the jolly old Mosen Explosion, the show that did for radio what the safety pin did for quantum computing! On the 4th of May 1964, yes 50 years ago, 50 years I say, a group called the Moody Blues was formed in Birmingham. That's the Birmingham in the UK, not the Birmingham in Alabama. Although 10 years ago, I actually flew from one Birmingham to the other, which was very confusing.

Well well well, how time flies, eh? Well well well. It was just this time last week that I was inviting you to the Mosen Explosion, for four fun frivolous hours of forgettability. Well well well. What a difference a week makes. Who was the British political dude who famously said, "a week is a long time in politics". Mr Wilson? Or Mr Heath? It was one of those tax men. Ah Wilson, Wilson that's who it was. Well well well. A week is certainly a very long time in radio as well. Because so much has changed in a week.

Hi, and here is the news read by Jonathan Mosen.
The Mosen Explosion may well ring a bell. The show has been around for well over a decade, and we're delighted to be right here on The Bell starting this weekend at 7 PM UK, 2 PM Eastern.
But that's not my news.
