Is It The End Of More Than 300 Years Of Marriage?
Hello Listeners
I would love to have your company this Friday for your weekly dose of The Zone, at 4 pm eastern, 9 pm in the UK, only on, www.the-bell.net.
All the ballot boxes are being delivered around Scotland now and with only hours to go, they get to vote in the referendum, they have two choices, yes or no. Will Scotland stay in the long, long marriage with the United Kingdom or will they decide to divorce and be their own independent country? This is a decision that only the people in Scotland can make. Whatever the outcome, it is going to mean changes for everyone.
Now, without getting politically bogged down with all of this, I want you to think about all the brilliant bands and artists who have come out of the UK, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The UK bands/artists is the theme for the Wheel of Fortune for this week. Scotland have given us so many fantastic musical artists, there are also great bands/artists from Northern Ireland, loads from England and as for Wales, we tend to forget the Welsh but they too have had some amazing musical artists. I would hope you will join me in celebrating the music of the United Kingdom. Let’s get those requests in pronto so that they can be queued up for the wheel and with a bit of luck, the computer will pick your song!
All the other features will be in The Zone, Music Madness quiz, Guess the Year competition and in the third hour, I hope you’ll be able to stick around and join me in Cosgrove’s Cronies pub where the jukebox is filled with great music, all you have to do is tell me what you would like to hear.
We have two birthday’s this week, Jarvis Cocker from Pulp and Ryan Dusick who is a former member of Maroon 5. I already have some tracks in the play list but I would love you to add to these.
