Welcome To Friday.
Hi everyone. As we bring yet another working week to a close, I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, this Friday at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM eastern on www.the-bell.net, as I look forward to offering you a very warm Welcome To The Weekend. On this final weekend of February, I will have a stack of upbeat feel good music, along with the best in friendly banter, live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland, to wipe away the stress of your busy week.
All the usual features will be here for you to enjoy.
Kick-Start. This opening tune of the show by request this weekend, is for a listener who is out on the town tonight. Released in 2011, it tells the story of a wild Friday night out.
Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour, we hear two tracks by the one artist, as well as some interesting facts about the featured artist. This weekend, we hear two tracks by the Clash. A very popular band during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
The Irish Connection. Exactly one hour later we hear two tracks from two different Irish artists. This time we hear a track from a Dublin band, who have released their second studio album two weeks ago, along with another Dublin band who I have seen play live many times and you have heard on the show before.
The One That Got Away. Often been described as a listener as “my favourite part of the show” it’s a track that doesn’t get much radio airplay. This week we take a track from an album released in 1986, from a lady who had a fall while performing on stage this week.
There is plenty of room for you to suggest anything for our features, a tune that makes you feel good this weekend or if you’d simply like to say hi to me and share your plans for the weekend, I’d love to hear from you.
You can drop me an Email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or send a tweet to @daltobr.
Whatever you are up to this weekend and where ever you are in the world, I’d love to welcome the weekend with you on the Bell, the sound of good Radio.
