Feeling Festive.

Hi everyone. As we head into the first weekend of December, that festive feeling is certainly in the air as the silly season begins to gather pace. Today at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK or 2 PM on the East Coast of America, it will be time for me, Brian D to Welcome You To The Weekend on www.the-bell.net.

I will have the usual cocktail of ingredients to set you up for the weekend, Feel good music and friendly banter, along with at least 1 Christmas tune in each half hour of the show. There could be more if you request it of course. So, if you’re getting ready to head out to your Christmas Party or putting up the decorations, this should put you in the mood for sure. All the usual features will be here too:

Kick-Start. This opening tune sets the pace for the two days of freedom that are ahead. By request we hear from 2 modern gentlemen who will leave us feeling very funky this weekend.

Double-Take. At the bottom of hour number one, we hear two tracks by the one artist. This time we hear from a band that was formed in London in 1970. They have gone through a number of changes but certainly left their mark on music. Queen are our featured artist tonight.

Exactly one hour later, we do the Irish Connection. Playing two tracks from two different Irish artists. This weekend it’s bands from the West and the East that take to the airwaves.

The One That Got away. A Track that you don’t often hear on the radio gets some exposure in this slot. This weekend we hear a tune from a popular, magical movie movie released last year.
