Welcome To The Weekend Return.

Hi everyone. After a short break, I am delighted to say that Welcome To The Weekend will be back on www.the-bell.net on Friday next at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM Eastern. Broadcasting live from Dublin Town, on the East Coast of Ireland, I will be calling clearly across those miles with lots of friendly banter and fantastic feel good music to bring your week to a close, and warmly welcome you to the weekend that is ahead of you.

All the usual features will be in place for you to enjoy such as:
Kick-Start. This opening tune of the show as always sets the pace for the weekend ahead. This time, I have chosen a tune very popular early this year that is special to the show. All will be revealed on Friday!

Double-Take. At the bottom of the first hour we hear two tracks by the one artist. By request we hear two tracks from Bryan Adams, from a loyal listener who has just returned from the country where Bryan Adams comes from.

The Irish Connection. In this slot we hear two tracks by two different Irish artists. This week I play a track by the two most popular Irish composers/artists, as voted for by a wide audience on national radio in Ireland. The results are somewhat surprising, tune in if you’d like to find out who they are.

The One That Got Away. In this feature, we hear a track that doesn’t get much radio airplay. A forgotten favourite you might say. This time we hear a track released in 1979 that was the only hit for this UK band.
